Paul Bunyan Award
Paul Bunyan Award
Our troop participated in the Paul Bunyan Award Event, a hands-on outdoor experience where Scouts earned or reviewed the requirements for the Totin’ Chip and learned about the safe use of five different forestry tools, including a historic two-man buck saw from the 1800s. After demonstrating proper tool use, participants completed three hours of conservation project work and earned the Paul Bunyan Award. The conservation service portion also qualified toward the advancement requirement for Scouts working on their Life rank. The event included registered adults, registered Scouts in troops, and Venturing Scouts.
